The Atlanta Falcons have serious competition for the services of Rex Ryan.
The former New York Jets coach has a second interview with the Buffalo Bills on Saturday night, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, via a source informed of the team's plans.
The Bills have also met with former Broncos and Redskins coach Mike Shanahan, former Browns offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson, 49ersoffensive coordinator Greg Roman, Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase, Chargers offensive coordinator Frank Reich and Seattle's offensive and defensive coordinators in Darrell Bevell and Dan Quinn, respectively.
Ryan is the first to be granted a second interview.
His interview with the Falcons went for five hours, per Rapoport, and is expected to be followed by a second sit-down, barring a pre-emptive agreement with the Bills' brass.
It will be interesting to see how Ryan plays this situation.
The Bills offer impressive defensive personnel, but are beset by the same quarterback concerns that ended up running him out of New York.
